    I have been using CouchDB recently to build some of my new projects. It’s a new schema-less, document-modelled, highly concurrent, Erlang powered “database” where you wrote map reduce functions in design views to create queries and indices. It is also very neat to bootstrap a project when you have not worked out the relational model of your database yet, due to its schema-less nature. I am still getting my head around it (coming from 15 years of SQL experience), but so far so good. I guess one issue with CouchDB is that it’s HTTP-based interface is still not fixed, and…

    A small number of accounts had mail that was unable to be moved over to new hardware before we had to power down the last of our servers and move them out of the old data center. For now we are setting up those users (without the data) on the new system so they should still be functional and we’ll be working on restoring the data once we have moved the servers (the data is not lost, just not currently available). We apologize for this – we understand how important mail is and wanted to reassure those effected that we’re aware of the matter and are working to correct it.

    We’re sad to report that the wolverine server is experiencing some issues returning from a reboot we needed to complete this morning.  We’re working on this right now and will update this post as soon as we have additional information. UPDATE: We truly apologize for the lack of updates on this post.  Due to the central services migration from last night, this post slipped past us.  The great news is that this issue is completely resolved.  We found that the issue keeping this server down was a bad mount to the file server.  We fixed this and the server was able to come back…

We will be moving all of our internal machines into new datacenter space. Most services on your account will remain up and functioning properly.     We jumped the gun when announcing that the network problems were resolved. There is still latency and packet loss occurring on the machines. This would explain the degradation of service that you are experiencing. Our admins are diligently working towards getting this issue resolved. We plan to add more fiber to the network within the next few days. Again, we are really sorry for the problems this has caused. Your continued patience is greatly appreciated.
